What to Expect in a Private Session
Trying something new can feel intimidating, especially when it’s a healing practice you may not have experienced before. Here’s a clear guide to what a private session looks like, so you can feel comfortable and prepared.
Before the Session
You’ll start with a short questionnaire and consultation (either by phone or in person). This gives me a chance to learn about your goals, health history, and areas of focus - whether that’s easing physical tension, calming anxiety, or finding balance after a stressful season.
Setting the Space
Sessions are one hour and typically held in my office. If you aren’t able to attend in person, Zoom sessions are also available so you can access the benefits from anywhere. In-person is encouraged whenever possible, as the environment and hands-on guidance can help deepen your experience. The space is set up for comfort with yoga mats, blankets, cushions, props, tea, and water. Some clients prefer to lie on the floor, while others enjoy a reclining massage chair with optional heat and vibration.
The Flow of a Session
Every session is personalized, but most follow a general rhythm:
Grounding & Centering
We begin with a few minutes to settle in — this may include breathwork, mindfulness, or intention-setting to help you feel present.Personalized Practice
Private sessions are a space for exploration. Depending on your goals, we may integrate grounding practices, guided meditations, breathwork, or reflective writing to encourage self-discovery. Sound healing, yoga-based movements, and mindfulness techniques can also be woven in, offering a blend of stillness and activity. I draw on a variety of tools and approaches so that each session feels uniquely supportive, helping you discover which practices resonate most with your own journey.Integration & Closing
We end with stillness and quiet reflection. Some clients like to share insights, journal briefly, or simply rest. This integration time helps you carry the benefits into daily life.
After the Session
Many people leave feeling calmer, lighter, and more centered. Healing is a process - not a one-time event. For the most long-lasting effects, I recommend committing to 8–12 sessions, which allows your body and mind to build new patterns and experience deeper transformation.
Each private session is designed just for you. Whether your focus is physical, emotional, or mental well-being, you’ll be supported in a way that meets you where you are and helps you move toward balance and resilience.
